Meet Legacy
Hey, I’m Legacy, a masculine-presenting woman born and raised in East Oakland, CA. I created Legacy Said So to be more than just a blog. It’s a lifestyle archive, a personal rebellion, and a love letter to those of us who live outside the binary expectations of what a “woman” should be, especially in the world of lifestyle, elegance, and everyday beauty.
Growing up, I rarely saw anyone who looked like me in the media or in lifestyle spaces, no masculine-presenting Black women styling elegant outfits, hosting dinner parties, arranging florals, or showing off their love for home decor and soft moments. And even in my own world, it sometimes felt like I had to pick a side: masculine or feminine, bold or soft, sneakers or self-care.
But that’s just not me.
Being true to myself means loving and embracing all the things that make me whole. I love sports, cars, and fresh fades — but I also love setting the perfect dinner table, experimenting with recipes, tending to my garden, arranging flowers, burning candles that match the mood, and planning a weekend getaway with just the right aesthetic. I live in that in-between, and Legacy Said So is where I get to show what that looks like.
This space is for the studs, the masc girls, the masculine-presenting women, and all people who want a lifestyle that reflects who they really are, people who move with strength and softness, with swagger and style. I share my life through travel guides, food reviews, home design inspiration, grooming routines, event planning tips, and the kinds of personal reflections that challenge what we’ve been taught about identity, beauty, and success.
Whether I’m putting together a place setting that feels both timeless and bold, styling a clean outfit for a night out, or writing about what it means to hold joy in a world that doesn’t always see you. I’m doing it from a place of truth. I believe you can be masculine and tender. Sharp and soft. Stylish and grounded. You can light up the grill and the scented candle.
Beyond lifestyle, I also use this platform to uplift others, especially small businesses, Black creators, and LGBTQ entrepreneurs, through digital strategy. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve taught myself the ins and outs of content creation, social media, and branding. I work hands-on with businesses to help them grow their presence online, tell their story with confidence, and build loyal communities.
But the foundation of everything I do — from blog posts to business coaching is authenticity. I want this blog to feel like a reflection of real life. The real, full version of me. Which includes all the sides of me that I choose to celebrate and share with my family and friends every single day. The me that watches the game while chopping herbs. The me that wears black boots with a gold bracelet. The me that’s building a brand, creating a legacy, and making space for others to see themselves in their fullness, too.
If you’re someone who moves through the world in a way that’s often misunderstood or overlooked — but still rooted in pride, care, and creativity — then this blog is for you. I hope it feels like home. I hope it reminds you that you don’t have to choose between being practical and loving beauty. You can want peace and power. You can be refined and raw. You can be all of it. Because Legacy Said So.
Welcome to the space where your whole self is not only welcomed — it’s celebrated.
Always,
Legacy!
