Alright friends, let me tell you about the best TV Shows I watched in the month of April. This is my first month doing this and I hope to share my favs each month. So, I sit in front of my screen and write about my favorite TV shows that I binged in April.

Peaky Blinders

I have put off watching Peaky Blinders because I honestly try not to watch shows without any Black people in it and I didn’t think they would have any. To my surprise, there are some Black characters and a REALLY good story line filled with drama, violence, and even love.
Peaky Blinders is a Netflix original series set in post-World War I Birmingham, England. The series follows the Shelby family, led by the charismatic and ruthless Tommy Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy), as they rise through the ranks of the criminal underworld.
The show has everything you could want in a period crime drama: intricate plotlines, gripping action scenes, and a cast of unforgettable characters. But what really sets Peaky Blinders apart is its attention to detail. The show’s costumes and set design are meticulously crafted to transport you to the 1920s, and the cinematography is breathtaking.
And of course, there’s the show’s iconic theme song, “Red Right Hand” by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, which sets the tone for each episode. So, if you’re a fan of gangster dramas, period pieces, or just great television in general, Peaky Blinders is definitely worth a watch.
Killing Eve

Killing Eve is going in my top 10 all-time favorite shows. Killing Eve is a thrilling cat-and-mouse game between MI6 agent Eve Polastri (played by Sandra Oh) and the psychopathic assassin Villanelle (played by Jodie Comer). What sets this show apart from other spy thrillers is its humor and wit.
The writing is sharp and clever, with plenty of darkly comedic moments to balance out the tension. And the performances by Oh and Comer are simply outstanding. Oh brings vulnerability and humanity to her character, while Comer is chillingly charming as the ruthless Villanelle.
But what really makes Killing Eve so addictive is the chemistry between these two women. Their cat-and-mouse game is both exhilarating and twisted, and you’ll find yourself rooting for both of them at different points in the series. I love the romantic story that exists without making the show solely about the character’s sexuality as a headliner.

My Dad The Bounty Hunter

Representation matters and really shows up in My Dad The Bounty Hunter. My Dad the Bounty Hunter is a new animated series on Netflix that’s perfect for kids and adults alike. The show follows the adventures of a young girl named Mika and her father, a bounty hunter who travels through space capturing intergalactic villains.
The animation is stunning, with a unique and colorful style that’s sure to catch your eye. And the voice acting is top-notch, with Laz Alonso and Yvonne Orji. But what really sets My Dad the Bounty Hunter apart is its heart.
The show is full of positive messages about family, friendship, and doing the right thing. And while it’s definitely geared towards a younger audience, there’s enough humor and action to keep adults entertained as well.

His Dark Materials started slow and had me wondering if should I keep watching but I am absolutely glad I continued to watch this TV Show. Not only does it beautifully depict the fantasy world connected to this story, it also can challenge your ideas on religion and faith.
His Dark Materials is a fantasy adventure series based on the beloved book series by Philip Pullman. The show takes place in a parallel universe where humans have animal companions called daemons, and follows the story of a young girl named Lyra (played by Dafne Keen) as she uncovers a vast conspiracy that threatens her world.
The world-building in His Dark Materials is simply breathtaking. From the sprawling cities to the icy wastelands, every aspect of this universe feels fully realized and lived in. And the special effects are top-notch, with some of the most realistic-looking daemons ever seen on screen.
But what really sets His Dark Materials apart is its storytelling. The show is full of complex themes and characters, and it’s not afraid to tackle big ideas like religion, power, and morality. So, if you’re a fan of epic fantasy adventures, His Dark Materials is definitely worth a watch.
Mandalorian

Hey cousins! Star Wars nerd here, I love it all but I really enjoy The Mandalorian and especially its current season. Because this season I really wanted Din Djarin, the Mandalorian, and Bo Katan Kryze to have real romance!
The Mandalorian is a space western set in the Star Wars universe, following the adventures of a bounty hunter known only as The Mandalorian (played by Pedro Pascal). The show has been a massive hit since it premiered on Disney+ in 2019 and for good reason.
The Mandalorian has everything you could want in a Star Wars story: epic action scenes, lovable characters, and nods to the franchise’s rich history. But what really sets this show apart is its heart. The relationship between The Mandalorian and the Child (aka “Baby Yoda”) is one of the most heartwarming things you’ll see on television.
And while the show is set in a galaxy far, far away, it manages to feel grounded and relatable thanks to its emphasis on character development. So, whether you’re a die-hard Star Wars fan or just looking for a great action-adventure series, The Mandalorian is definitely worth a watch.

Into The Badlands
