How to Make an Espresso Martini With Cold Brew (Easy & Smooth!)

If you’ve been here a minute, you already know I’m a coffee first, vibes second type of person, so naturally, an espresso martini is never far from my mind. But listen: sometimes I don’t want to pull a whole shot of espresso, warm up my kitchen, I dont have any cream around the house, or commit to a full barista moment just to get a cocktail. This is where the cold brew espresso martini becomes elite.

Cold brew already tastes smoother and less acidic than espresso, meaning the cocktail comes through cleaner, silkier, and with a lot less hassle. I started making espresso martinis with cold brew on nights when I wanted something strong but easy. I pull this trick out of my hat when I want to impress with a drink that feels luxe but doesn’t require a production.

And now? This is the recipe I make for guests, and for myself when I want a cold espresso martini that hits every time.

Why Make Espresso Martinis With Cold Brew

Let me put you on: Using cold brew in an espresso martini has hella advantages.

For one, it saves time. Instead of pulling shots or waiting for espresso to cool, you can grab your cold brew concentrate (mine is Stok) or your favorite bottled cold brew and get straight to shaking.

For two, the flavor is unmatched. Cold brew is naturally smoother, bolder, and less bitter. When you’re making an espresso martini with cold brew concentrate, you get a strong coffee flavor without the harsh edge.

FOR THREE, it’s flexible. You can make:

  • a cold brew martini
  • a cold brew negroni
  • a simple spiked coffee

— without having to adjust the whole recipe.

Whether you’re a cold brew girlie, a nightcap lover, or you just like your cocktails to taste like dessert and danger at the same time, this cold brew martini is the one.
