We took Sunday Funday and put a brunch spin on it, and y’all showed up. Every seat at The Reserve Lounge was filled, and by early afternoon folks were still posted up standing because there was nowhere left to sit — that’s the kind of turnout that tells you a community wants more of this. DJ 2KFro and DJ KSivz held it down back to back, keeping the room moving from the first mimosa tower to the last song. Speaking of — the $30 mimosa towers were doing exactly what they were supposed to do, and it showed on every table.

This was a one-time event, not a standing monthly, but if the energy in that room said anything, it’s that LGBTQ+ Louisville is more than ready for a regular brunch day. Filing this one under proof of concept.
