Why We Love a Good Happy Hour
Listen, we’ve never been the type to turn down a good drink, a good deal, or a good vibe, and happy hour in Nashville always gives what it’s supposed to give. Whether we are winding down from the workday, meeting up with a friend, or just trying to try something new without spending all our coins, happy hour is our go-to.
This August, we’ve been hopping around town checking out some of the best spots that offer dope drinks, great food specials, and even better energy. Some are chill and cozy, some feel like a day party, and all of them have one thing in common, they’ll have you asking, “When we coming back?” These aren’t sponsored picks, just genuine favorites we think you should hit up before the month ends.
Let’s get into it.

Roasted @ Flavors 90’s Bar
You know when a place gets it just right? That’s Roasted. Located inside Flavors 90’s Bar, this hidden gem feels like a grown Black vibe, soulful, nostalgic, and full of flavor (literally and figuratively).
From Wednesday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, they serve up half off the entire bar and $10 food specials that go crazy. Choose from wings and fries, catfish bites and fries, or a quesadilla and fries. Yes, fries stay in rotation.
It’s the type of happy hour that turns into your whole evening, and you don’t even mind.

Bungalow10
I’m not gon’ lie, Bungalow10 might just be doing the most, and I mean that in the best way possible.
Their happy hour is called G.H.O.A.T. (Greatest Happy Hour of All Time!), and I honestly have to agree. Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, you can snag food and drink specials and get free hookah with a table reservation.
On Fridays, the energy levels go way up with 101.1 The Beat in the building. Think: half-off appetizers and hookah from 5:00 PM–7:00 PM, and Don Repo tequila shots at $5 (5–6 PM), $6 (6–7 PM), and $7 (7–8 PM). It’s giving sliding scale tequila, and we support it.
This one’s for the social crew, the ones who like a lil’ turn up with their tacos.

Sabell’s
Sabell’s is for my people who want vibes and value without feeling like you’ve stepped into a club.
It’s a cozy, casual, low-key queer-friendly spot where the cocktails are actually good and the energy is always welcoming. Every day until 6:00 PM, they run their “Happiest Hours,” which include:
- $1 off drafts
- $7 cocktail specials
- $8 house wine
- $5 wells, margs, and mules
It’s a first-come, first-serve space and they don’t take reservations, which makes it feel like your cool friend’s backyard party. Come as you are. Sabell’s is that spot.

The Coral Club
If you’re into cute, then The Coral Club is your happy hour soulmate. It’s giving tropical speakeasy meets downtown sophistication with neon signs, moody lighting, and just enough edge to feel different from your usual spots.
From 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM daily, they offer:
- $5 Tiny Tinis (classic or dirty)
- $10 Tommy’s Margarita
- $10 Gimlet
- $10 Old Fashioned
- $10 Rosé Paloma
- $3 Pacifico drafts
- $7 Black Truffle Popcorn
It’s the perfect mix of playful and bougie, and I’m obsessed with their teeny-tiny martinis—it’s like Barbiecore but make it cocktail hour.

Pancho & Lefty’s Cantina – Melrose Location
If you’re a sucker for margaritas and a chill afternoon vibe, Pancho & Lefty’s at Melrose might be your next favorite happy hour stop.
From Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, you can enjoy:
- $5 Outlaw Margaritas
- 2-for-1 beers
- Select $5 shots
It’s laid back but fun, and the covered patio is perfect for escaping the heat while still enjoying the weather. Plus, there’s something about $5 margs that just makes life feel a little easier.

Final Sips
Nashville’s happy hour game is strong, but these five spots stood out this month. Whether you’re craving wings and a cocktail, down for a $5 marg, or just want somewhere to vibe after work, these places deliver. And don’t sleep on mid-day happy hours, some of these start as early as 1 PM, perfect for freelancers, entrepreneurs, or anyone just trying to sip in peace.
Let me know which one you hit up, and if you’ve got a favorite happy hour in the city, send it my way. I’m always down for a new spot.
Cheers to good drinks, good deals, and even better company.
