Where is Tulum?
Tulum, Mexico is located on the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula, only a short drive from popular tourist destinations such as Cancun and Playa del Carmen. What Can You Eat in Tulum?
When traveling finding the best to eat is always a challenge. You want to eat the best the city has to offer because you are only there for a short time. You may wonder where can you find the best breakfast in Tulum, fresh fruit smoothies, breakfast restaurants, Tulum downtown restaurants, restaurants Tulum beach, or even Tulum Centro restaurants.
With the many restaurants in Tulum I am sure you have heard of the more popular restaurants such as El Tabano Tulum, Delcielo Tulum, or Taboo Taqueria. But this list is to tell you about a variety of restaurants that may not be as popular but are definitely worth the try. It will cover everything from the best breakfast menu to the best dinner menu.
Please understand that most of these places were in the city and not in the resort area. Honestly, I preferred eating in the city rather than in the resort area. Also, a lot of the restaurants are, well, let’s just say they may be local but they are catered to the tourist or newfound local crowd. We can talk about that more later.
You all know I am a foodie and I’m gonna eat wherever I go. I can be local, international, or somewhere in the states. One thing is fasho and two things are for certain, I WILL eat good. And Tulum was no exception. There were so many places we did not get to go but here I am highlighting everywhere we did eat, what we had, and what we thought.
